EGGS AND ASPARAGUS RECIPE








EGGS AND ASPARAGUS RECIPE

...try this nice asparagus recipe...! A must try one !

Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds asparagus, cut into 5- to 6-inch lengths (use the thicker stem ones)
  • Coarse salt, sea salt, or fleur de sel
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • Freshly-ground black pepper
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup (lightly packed) parsley leaves, chopped
  • 1 small piece of parmesan cheese, room temperature
Instructions:

Snap off the tough ends of the asparagus; cook in boiling salted water until just crisp-tender, approximately 4 to 5 minutes for thick stalks. Remove from heat, drain, and toss with olive oil and salt and pepper to taste. Divide asparagus among 4 dinner plates and keep warm.

poached eggs Bring about 1 1/2 inches of water to a simmer in a 12-inch skillet or sauté pan over medium heat. One at a time, break each egg onto a saucer or into small cups or bowls. Slip eggs carefully into simmering water by lowering the lip of each egg-cup 1/2-inch below the surface of the water. Let the eggs flow out. Immediately cover with a lid and turn off the heat. Set a timer for exactly three minutes for medium-firm yolks. Adjust the time up or down for runnier or firmer yolks. Cook 3 to 5 minutes, depending on firmness desired. Lift each perfectly poached egg from the water with a slotted spoon, but hold it over the skillet briefly to let any water clinging to the egg drain off. Place a warm poached egg on top of each asparagus portion; dab with a paper towel to soak up any visible water. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and parsley. Pull a cheese planer or use a vegetable peeler across the top of the piece of parmesan cheese to produce wide shavings. Arrange several shavings around each plate. Serve immediately.

ASIAN ASPARAGUS SALAD

 ...a great asparagus recipe. Nice one !

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 1/2 lbs. asparagus
FOR MARINADE:

  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. dark sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp. white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. dry sherry
  • 1 tsp. grated ginger
  • Lightly toasted sesame seeds

ASPARAGUS SALAD INSTRUCTIONS
First of all whisk together marinade ingredients and set aside. And then wash asparagus and remove tough ends. Next is to ease spears into boiling water to cover. When water begins to boil again, cook for 1-2 minutes longer until tender, but crisp.
Plunge into cold water to stop the cooking and set the color. Drain well; place in shallow bowl, and cover with marinade.
Chill at least 30 minutes.Garnish with sesame seeds. Don't wait longer than 2 hours before serving. Can be served hot, too. This nice asparagus salad asian style is ready to serve...hot. Hmmm great ! Enjoy it !

CRAB AND ASPARAGUS OMELET WITH APRICOT MARMALADE

ASPARAGUS RECIPE INGREDIENTS
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped asparagus (1 inch pieces)
  • 1 cup crab meat
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • salt and pepper
  • olive oil
  • apricot marmalade (for side)

ASPARAGUS RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
First of all clean and chop asparagus into one inch pieces and place in a microwave safe container along with the butter. Cover and microwave for one minute.
Meanwhile, heat a skillet over medium heat; add olive oil.
And then spread the crab meat evenly in the skillet, stirring frequently. The asparagus should be done by this time, so add them to the skillet as well.
Next is to cook for several minutes, until the crab shows signs of becoming a golden brown. In a bowl, beat 4 eggs until frothy.
Add to the skillet. Reduce heat to low and flip as soon as the egg solidifies.
Transfer to a warm plate, add a pinch of salt and pepper and place a generous portion of apricot marmalade on the side. The asparagus recipe is ready to serve....! Nice !

A nice asparagus recipe to try !

Asparagus Recipe Ingredients :
  • 1 ½ cup of asparagus, sliced into half-inches.
  • ½ cup of beansprouts.
  • ½ cup of red bell pepper.
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil.
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds.
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger, grated.
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic, minced.
  • 1 tablespoon of shallot, minced.
  • Juice of 1 freshly-squeezed lime.
Asparagus Recipe Instructions

First of all in a frying pan, heat the sesame oil until it is smoking.
And then quickly add the sesame seeds, asparagus, ginger, shallot, and garlic.
Stir-fry about 1 minute.
Add the beansprouts and red pepper.
Stir-fry for another minute.
Remove from heat and add soy sauce and lime juice.
Toss thoroughly.

Try this amazing grilled asparagus salad....great tasting salad !

ASPARAGUS RECIPE INGREDIENTS

* 1/4 cup olive oil
* 1/8 cup lemon juice
* 12 fresh asparagus spears
* 6 cups fresh spinach leaves
* 1/8 cup grated Parmesan cheese
* 1 tablespoon seasoned slivered almonds

ASPARAGUS RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

1. First of all preheat a grill for low heat. Combine the lemon juice and olive oil on a plate. Place asparagus on the plate, and roll around to coat.
2. And then grill asparagus for about 5 minutes, turning at least once, and brushing with the olive oil mixture. Remove from the grill, and place back onto the plate with the oil.
3. Next in a large bowl, combine the spinach, Parmesan cheese, and slivered almonds. Cut asparagus into bite size pieces, and add to the salad along with the lemon juice and oil from the plate. Toss to blend, then serve....hmmm great asparagus salad...!

PROSCUITTO AND ASPARAGUS RECIPE

ASPARAGUS RECIPE INGREDIENTS
  • 6-8 thin slices of prosciutto
  • 12 sticks of asparagus
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1 dried red chili
  • hand full of fresh basil and oregano
  • salt and pepper
  • extra virgin olive oil
ASPARAGUS RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
In a mortar and pestle, crush red chili, cumin, fennel and a pinch of salt and pepperAdd a splash of oil to a frying pan and set heat fairly hot. Add asparagus.
Stir-fry for 1 minute, then add slices of prosciutto and spices. Stir-fry for 1 minute more, then remove from heat and quickly add herbs and a splash of olive oil. Stir to mix well.
Arrange prosciutto on plate and lay asparagus on top.The asparagus recipe is ready to serve...Simple and delicious !Enjoy !

ASPARAGUS IN RED PEPPER SAUCE


ASPARAGUS RECIPE INGREDIENTS
  • 1 lb asparagus stalks
  • 3 large red peppers
  • 3 1/2 T olive oil
  • 1 T balsamic or rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp fresh thyme Leaves
  • Salt & Pepper
ASPARAGUS RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
Peel the asparagus if necessary, snap off the stems at the bottom, and cook the stalks in lightly salted water for 4 to 8 minutes, depending on thickness, or until fork tender but stiil firm.

Drain under cold water and set the stalks aside. Rub the peppers in olive oil and broil on all sides until lightly scorched. Place the cooked peppers in a paper bag to steam for 10 minutes.

Remove the peppers and rub off the skins. Cut open and remove the stem, seeds and white flesh.
Puree the peppers in the food processor.Mix in the olive oil, balsamic vinegar and thyme.Adjust seasoning, adding salt and pepper if desired.
Divide puree among 4 serving dishes. Top with asparagus. The asparagus recipe is ready...nice !

GRILLED ASPARAGUS RECIPE INGREDIENTS

* 1 medium head garlic, unpeeled
* 5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, divided
* salt and pepper to taste
* 2 tablespoons minced shallot
* 1 1/2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
* 1/2 teaspoon red wine vinegar
* 1 1/2 pounds thick stemmed asparagus
* 4 slices sourdough bread


GRILLED ASPARAGUS RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Coat the head of garlic with 1 tablespoon olive oil, salt, and pepper. Place on a baking sheet, and roast 45 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown. Once the garlic is roasted, cut the head in half horizontally, exposing all the cloves. Squeeze both halves into a bowl, discarding
any skin. Whisk in 2 tablespoons of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
3. While the garlic is roasting, place the minced shallot in a bowl with the balsamic and red wine vinegars for about 30 minutes to let the flavors blend. Whisk in remaining olive oil, and season with salt and pepper. Place asparagus spears in the mixture until ready to grill.
4. Preheat grill for medium-high heat.
5. Place asparagus in a large skillet or directly on the grill. Grill the asparagus, turning over once, until tender, about 10 minutes. While asparagus is grilling, spread the roasted garlic mixture on the bread. Grill bread until toasted. Arrange the bread and asparagus on a plate, and
drizzle with the remaining shallot and vinegar mixture. The grilled asparagus recipe with garlic toast and vinaigrette is ready to serve ....enjoy !

ASPARAGUS RECIPE INGREDIENTS

* 1 1/2 pounds fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into thirds
* 2 medium yellow bell peppers, seeded and diced
* 1/4 cup olive oil
* 1 large red onion, cut into strips
* 1/4 cup toasted almond slices
* 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
* 1/2 cup olive oil
* 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
* 3 cloves garlic, minced
* 2 teaspoons lime juice
* 2 teaspoons sugar
* 1 teaspoon hot sauce
* salad seasoning mix to taste

ASPARAGUS RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Arrange the asparagus spears and bell peppers in a single layer on the baking sheet, and drizzle or mist with 1/4 cup of olive oil.
2. Roast 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until tender, turning occasionally to prevent burning. Remove from heat, and cool completely.
3. In a bowl, toss together the asparagus, bell peppers, onion, almond slices, and Parmesan cheese.
4. In a separate bowl, mix the 1/2 cup olive oil, Dijon mustard, garlic, lime juice, sugar, hot sauce, and salad seasoning. Pour over the salad, and toss to coat....wow amazing taste of asparagus salad...enjoy !

ASPARAGUS RECIPE INGREDIENTS

* 12 ounces dry fettuccini noodles
* 8 ounces fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2 inch pieces
* 1/2 cup butter
* 2 cups heavy cream
* 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
* 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
* 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
* 1 pinch cayenne pepper
* 1/2 pound cooked ham, diced

ASPARAGUS RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente. Stir asparagus into pot in the last five minutes of cooking; drain.
2. While pasta is cooking, heat butter and cream in a medium saucepan over medium heat. When mixture begins to bubble, stir in Parmesan, garlic powder, pepper and cayenne.
Continue cooking until mixture thickens, stirring occasionally. Stir in ham and heat through.
3. Toss pasta and asparagus with sauce and serve immediately.

ASPARAGUS RECIPE INGREDIENTS

* 5 thick slices bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
* 1 unbaked pizza crust
* 1 pound shredded mozzarella cheese
* 1 cup chopped fresh asparagus
* 1 cup halved cherry or grape tomatoes
* 1 (11 ounce) log fresh chevre (goat cheese)
* 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
* freshly ground black pepper to taste

ASPARAGUS RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2. Place bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook for a few minutes to release most of the grease, but do not cook until crisp. Remove to paper towels to drain.
3. Spread the pizza crust out on a pizza pan or large baking sheet. Top with mozzarella cheese, bacon pieces, asparagus, and tomatoes. Dot with goat cheese, then season with red pepper flakes and black pepper.
4. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, until the crust is golden brown underneath when you lift it up to take a peek. Let cool for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving....hmmm nice tasting asparagus pizza...!

ASPARAGUS RECIPE INGREDIENTS

* 16 fresh asparagus spears
* 16 slices sandwich bread, crusts removed
* 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
* 8 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
* 2 tablespoons minced fresh chives
* 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
* 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

ASPARAGUS RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

1. Place asparagus in a skillet with a small amount of water; cook until crisp and tender, about 6-8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
2. Flatten bread with a rolling pin. Combine the cream cheese, bacon and chives; spread 1 tablespoonful on each slice of bread. Top with an asparagus spear. Roll up tightly; place seam side down on a greased baking sheet. Brush with butter and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cut roll-ups in half. Bake at 400 degrees F for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.

Ham and Asparagus Crepes With Parmesan Cheese

Ham and Asparagus Crepes With Parmesan Cheese

Asparagus Recipe Ingredients:

* Crepes
* 2 large eggs
* 3/4 cup milk
* 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
* 2 tablespoons melted butter
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning or paprika, for color

Filling
* 1 tablespoon olive oil
* 1 to 1 1/2 cups diced or thinly sliced ham
* 18 to 24 spears of asparagus
* Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Sauce
* 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
* 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
* 1 clove garlic, minced
* 2 tablespoons finely chopped red bell pepper, optional
* 2 tablespoons flour
* 1 1/2 cups milk
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
* 2 teaspoons fresh chopped parsley
* 1 cup fresh shredded Parmesan cheese, or about 1/2 cup if finely grated
* More Parmesan cheese for topping

Asparagus Recipe Instructions:
Crepes:
In a blender, combine the 2 eggs, 3/4 cup milk, 1/2 cup flour, 2 tablespoonsmelted butter, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and Cajun seasoning or paprika, if using. Blend until smooth. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.

Filling:
Cut ham into small dice or slice thinly.

Heat oven to 500°.

Toss asparagus with olive oil or olive oil with fresh lemon to coat thoroughly. Arrange in a single layer in a shallow baking dish; roast for 10 minutes. Remove and let the spears cool.

Sauce:
In a medium saucepan, saute the onion in 3 tablespoons of butter until tender. Add the garlic and chopped red bell pepper and saute for 1 minute longer. Stir in flour until blended. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt, the pepper, parsley, and the shredded Parmesan cheese. Continue cooking, stirring, until thickened.

Grease a 13x9-inch baking dish. Heat oven to 350°.

Place a crepe on a plate. Arrange ham and 3 to 4 spears of asparagus on the center of the crepe. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of sauce over the ham and asparagus; roll up or fold as desired. Arrange in the prepared baking dish; pour remaining sauce over the filled crepes. Sprinkle with more shredded Parmesan cheese. Bake until hot and bubbly.
Serve with tossed salad.

Asparagus Recipe Ingredients:

* 4 slices bacon, diced
* 2 tablespoons finely chopped red or sweet onion
* 1 pound asparagus, trimmed, sliced in 2- to 3-inch lengths
* 1 scant teaspoon Dijon mustard
* 1 1/2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
* salt and pepper, to taste

Asparagus Recipe Instructions:
Cook bacon until crisp; remove to paper towels to drain.

If desired, remove some of the grease from the pan, leaving a tablespoon or two. Add onion and asparagus to the grease left in the pan and saute over medium-low heat until asparagus is just tender. Put in a bowl and toss with the mustard and vinegar. Add salt and pepper, to taste.

Chicken and Asparagus Chowder

Asparagus Recipe Ingredients:

* 4 tablespoons butter
* 1 large onion, finely chopped
* 1/2 cup chopped celery
* 1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
* 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
* 3 cups chicken broth
* 1 large baking potato, peeled and diced
* 1 1/2 to 2 cups diced chicken
* 1 pound asparagus, woody ends removed, sliced in 1/2-inch lengths
* 2 cups heavy cream
* 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
* 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
* 1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley

Asparagus Recipe Instructions
In a large saucepan, heat butter over medium-low heat. Saute the onion and celery for about 3 minutes; add bell pepper and cook for 1 minute longer. Stir in flour until well blended. Add chicken broth and stir to blend. Add diced potato and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes, or until potato is just tender. Add the asparagus and chicken; cook just until asparagus can be easily pierced with a fork. Add cream and the salt and pepper, to taste. Stir in parsley just before serving...and the asparagus recipe is ready to serve 6 persons...enjoy it !

Asparagus Recipe Ingredients :

  • 1 chopped red onion.
  • 3 x garlic cloves crushed.
  • ½ cup of dry white wine.
  • 3 cups of steamed sliced asparagus.
  • 1 ½ lb boneless lamb chopped into small cubes.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Freshly-ground black pepper to taste.
Asparagus recipe Instructions :

Heat a large frying pan and add ½ of the wine.
Bring to the boil and add the onion and garlic, cook until softened.
Add the lamb and cook for about 6 minutes.
Add the rest of the wine and the asparagus.
Cover and cook for about 10 minutes, until lamb is tender.
Add pepper and salt to taste...and the asparagus recipe of lamb is ready..enjoy it !

Ingredients Asparagus recipe:
  • 1 tablespoon of Fermented black beans, (Chinese).
  • 1 ½ lb Asparagus, diagonally sliced. (In ½-inch pieces)
  • 1 x Garlic clove.
  • ¼ cup of Oil.
  • 2 cups of Boiling water.
  • ½ cup of Chicken stock.
  • ½ lb Flank steak, silced thinly.
  • ½ teaspoon of Sugar.
  • 1 ½ teaspoon of Salt.
  • 1 tablespoon of Water.
  • 1 tablespoon of Cornstarch.

Instructions Asparagus recipe:

Firstly soak the black beans in warm water a few minutes before draining and mashing them with garlic clove. Drop the asparagus into boiling water and continue to boil for 2 minutes, drain off water immediately. Next heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a wok or skillet until very hot. Add the beef steak, stir quickly and remove from pan. Pour in the remaining oil to skillet and heat, then add the bean mixture which was made earlier and stir over high heat for a few seconds. Add salt and asparagus. Stir-fry for 1 minute then add the chicken stock, cover and cook for 2 minutes. Mix the cornstarch, sugar and water and stir into meat mixture until sauce is smooth and thick. Add the beef and blend quickly...The asparagus recipe Oriental style is ready..enjoy it !

  • 14 oz of canned asparagus, drained.
  • ¼ cup of chicken stock.
  • ¼ cup of water.
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons of oil.
  • 1 tablespoon of sherry.
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch.
Asparagus Recipe Instructions :

Heat a pan.
Add the oil, chicken stock, water, sherry, soy sauce and cornstarch.
Stir until boiling.

Asparagus Recipe Ingredients:
  • 1 lb of asparagus.
  • 1 ½ cups of mushrooms, freshly sliced.
  • 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil.
  • 1 teaspoon of cornstarch.
  • ½ teaspoon of instant chicken boullion.
  • Pinch of salt.
  • Pinch of freshly ground black pepper.
  • Water, ½ cup and 1 teaspoon.

Asparagus Recipe INSTRUCTIONS
Cut the asparagus spears into one-inch pieces and steam them lightly.
Mix half a cup of water with the dry boullion; reserve.
Mix the cornstarch and one teaspoon of water; reserve.
Heat oil in a wok or a large frying pan over medium heat.
Add the asparagus, mushrooms, salt and pepper; stir fry for about 1 minute.
Stir in the bouillion mixture and heat to boiling.
Stir in the cornstarch mixture.
Cook and stir until thickened (about 15 seconds).
The asparagus recipe is ready to serve as desired. Enjoy it !

  • 2-2 1/2 lb. asparagus
  • Boiling water

INSTRUCTIONS
Cut off the tough ends of the asparagus and scrub well. Scrape the skin and scales from the stalks.
Bunch the stalks together and tie with string. Place upright in a deep saucepan and add boiling water to a depth of about 2 inches. Add salt. Bring the mixture to a boil, cover and cook for 15-20 minutes.

Pierce the lower part of the stalks with a fork to test tenderness. Do not overcook. Drain well. Arrange the asparagus in a serving dish and drizzle with Hollister Hollandaise. This great asparagus recipe serves 4-6 great persons. Nice taste...enjoy !
